You can pause for reflection, antiquing, a massage or a delicious meal. The Catskill Region is now part of the Slow Food Movement with convivium farming to promote its bountiful food heritage.  The American Culinary Institute spins off new and inventive chefs who dress up fresh local produce into works of art.  Taste your way through the local vineyards or the handmade chocolate works.

Stroll through the charming towns and villages throughout the region that reflect the architectural splendor of five centuries. Buildings dating from as early as the 17th-century reveal a cavalcade of styles including Colonial, Federal, Queen Ann, Gothic Revival and Victorian American.  Intimate and lively museum experiences bring the history of the Catskill region to life and some of America’s most accomplished painting brings perspective to the vivid landscape.

Don’t let the rich traditions of the area belie the youthful energy that reignites the Catskills with entrepreneurial vigor.  There are always new places to stay, new performances to see, new hotspots and new trends, new experiences for every age.
