Four Full Seasons of Enjoyment
Each season in the Catskills lives up to its promise – the spring is fresh and lively and green, the summer fragrant and warm and inviting, the fall bounteous and colorful and sweet, and the winter pure and silent and majestic.  Festivals, activities, indoor and outdoor life never slow.  There is no “season” in the Catskills, there are only changing pastimes, just as the temperature and the scenery change with each passing day.

Taste of the Catskills

The Taste of the Catskills, Food, Wine, and Beer Festival is a family-friendly event that will showcase the food, beer, and wine of our region. With a variety of vendors including farmers, value-added food producers, and restaurants, attendees will learn how food travels from farm to fork during the fun-filled autumn weekend of Saturday, October 9, and Sunday October 10, on the grounds of Maple Shade Farm, a family-run farm in Delhi.

The area’s most talented musicians will provide entertainment all weekend. Saturday’s events will culminate with a gourmet dinner prepared entirely from local ingredients, paired with local beer and wine. Following dinner, a bonfire and barn dance will keep your feet tapping.

Sunday will feature the area’s first Bocce Tournament. Teams are encouraged to create outlandish costumes, as there will be awards for the best. Prizes donated from our sponsors will ensure friendly competition. Following Bocce, a pig roast featuring Maple Shade’s prize-winning Berkshire Pigs will satisfy everyone’s appetite.

There will be lots of kid’s activities each day. Maple Shade’s Little Farmer Day is Saturday and children will be able to meet the Dairy Princess and enjoy the 4-H fair. On both days children can visit the pick-a-pumpkin patch, navigate the corn maze, and pet farm animals. There will be live children’s music each day at noon.

Workshops each day will teach attendees tricks for farming, cooking, brewing, and vintning. Check this website on a regular basis for new additions or updates. Or sign up to get email updates.

Admission to Taste of the Catskills is just $5 for adults and $1 per foot for children. Adults can pre-purchase tickets on-line and receive a complimentary glass of Ommegang at the Festival.

The main activities are going to be held under tents and in the barn, so the show will go on RAIN OR SHINE!!!
