The Catskill Mountains' Best Kept Secret
From April to November, Plattekill Mountain really rocks for mountain biking daredevils. The family-owned ski resort becomes "Bike" Plattekill, featuring over 60 miles of lift-served mountain bike trails. It is a bikers' paradise. The mountain offers "Learn-to-Bike" packages, as well as steep chutes and big drops for the more advanced rider. Plattekill Mountain hosts a series of N.O.R.B.A (National Off-Road Bike Association) sanctioned mountain bike races. All-day lift and trail-access bike path tickets are $25 per day.
